Friends of the White River will be holding our annual member meeting on February 23, 2022 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Indianapolis Art Center (820 East 67th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220). Please Save the Date in your calendar. Registration will begin in mid-January 2022. Membership is not required to attend, but very much appreciated, as your ongoing financial support is making a difference for the future of White River and for those who appreciate its potential to be a steadily improving resource.
“The annual member meeting is our chance as the leaders of Friends of the White River to update members on last year’s accomplishments, and share our goals for the upcoming paddling and cleanup season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no member meeting was held in 2020 or 2021, which made it challenging for our membership to get excited about summer volunteer opportunities. We have several new initiatives planned for 2022 that I am eager to present to the Friends, and I look forward to meeting everyone this upcoming February 23rd at the Indianapolis Art Center.”
— Scott Salmon, Friends Executive Director
“After a two-year hiatus, the FOWR Board of Directors is excited to once again host our annual meeting. This is a great opportunity to catch up with friends and fellow river advocates, and to learn more about FOWR’s recent projects and upcoming goals. I am also excited for the membership to have the opportunity to meet and hear from our new Executive Director, Scott Salmon. This is an exciting time for the White River and we hope you can join us on February 23rd.”
— Adam Barnes, Friends Board President
